 Whetu Fun Day


Last Thursday we had a Whetu Fun Day as our camp was postponed.  Our teachers planned a fun day for us instead!  We participated in a Whetu Amazing Race, a range of different fun rotations, a BBQ lunch and play on the council playground then we finished the day with an Easter Egg hunt and an ice block.




My favorite part of the Amazing Race was going around Ngatea and working with my team to find out the clues.


The rotation I enjoyed the most was the Steam challenge I worked with Miller, Kian,


and Cody we had to dress Miller in a bunny.   


During the Easter Egg Hunt, I found my stick on a tree

and ran to the deck

Tower Challenge

Today it was the Whetu tower challenge I worked with Chrysler, Jasmine, and Heidi, at first we made a base so the tower could stand on it, the base made it very easy to hold the tower. It was pretty tall at first but then we saw the other team next to us and there's was already at the roof so we had to make ours bigger so we made it bigger but it kept on falling over so we just cut it in half so it could stand. Overall our tower was 156cm tall .

 This week our class is making teeth posters I and Franklin made a step-by-step poster. two days ago I and Franklin made our first poster, and yesterday I was away so Franklin had to make it by himself.

PLAY, MAKE, CREATE

 Be Me. Today at Play, we did a build, Create I, Kian, James, Liam made a boat out of wood. We also made a fishing rod out of jump rope tied on cricket wickets with a cone as bait. We put a piece of wood as a motor and we worked together nicely. If I could change anything I would change the anchor because it's not heavy enough.
